How to Apply

If you wish to make an informal inquiry about whether the biobank has suitable samples for a project please complete the form on this page.

Applications to use tissues and/or data from the biobanks must be made on a Biobank Access Application Form. Please note that for all studies requesting tissue sections, a named histopathologist must be included on the form.

Completed application forms should be returned to the appropriate biobank manager or co-ordinator, who will e-mail these to the virtual committee. Itemised feedback about the application must be received from more than half of the committee before the Academic Lead decides whether the application is accepted; accepted with conditions; pending further information or rejected.

All applicants will be notified of the outcome as soon as a decision is made. Successful applicants may need to complete a Material Transfer Agreement before tissues and/or data are released.

Please note that King’s Health Partners Cancer Biobank must be acknowledged on all publications, abstracts or promotional material that uses the resource.
