Andrea moved to the United Kingdom in 2017 after graduating with a BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Pavia, in Italy. She holds registration as Biomedical Scientist both with the HCPC and with the corresponding Italian accreditation body, FNO TSRM e PSTRP.

After moving to England, she worked in different sectors where she focused on quality assurance and product and process control. In 2020 she completed a Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership under the Chartered Management Institute and became an Associate Foundation Chartered Manager, a qualification which made her decide to pursue a managerial career in the medical field: her first role saw herself as audit manager on UKAS accreditation for ISO 15189:2012 Medical Laboratories and ISO 22870:2006 Point of Care Testing.

Andrea is now appointed as Cancer Biobank Quality Manager and works alongside the Team to  maintain relevant Biobank accreditations.
