Amy works as a Senior Specialist Technician within the KHP Biobank as the lead and main contact for all clinical trial related activities, focusing on early phase and translational cancer clinical trials. She has worked on over 40+ trials during her years working here, co-ordinating the collection and processing of patient biopsies and blood samples and performing lab-based work such as PBMC processing, IHC staining, microtomy and cryotomy. She also gets involved and contributes to trial set up and helps with general activities and the processing of the thousands of samples received each year within the Biobank.
Amy’s background is in cancer and medical sciences, receiving her undergraduate degree, Medical Sciences (Hons) with Professional Training Year from the University of Exeter and then going on to receive a Masters degree in Cancer and Molecular and Cellular Biology from Barts Cancer Institute, Queen Mary University.
