Bladder Cancer
The King’s Health Partners Bladder Cancer Biobank was established in 2017 and recruits donors from both the Urology and Oncology departments of Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust. Each year, the trust diagnoses approximately 500 new cases of bladder cancer and performs around 70 cystectomies.

The biobank collects a range of samples, including tissue, blood, and urine, along with comprehensive pathological data, patient demographics, clinical details, and follow-up information.

Bladder cancer remains under-researched on a national scale, making the King’s Health Partners Bladder Cancer Biobank a unique and invaluable resource. Its collection of samples and clinical data from an ethnically and socioeconomically diverse population provides an exceptional opportunity for impactful translational research.

Applications to access the biobank’s samples or data are accepted from investigators in both academic and commercial sectors.
