Elena Hoxha MSc BSc
Biobank Technician
Elena graduated from Queen Mary University, London with a BSc (Hon) in Biomedical sciences and then went on to obtain master’s degree in Cancer therapeutics at Barts Cancer Institute, Queen Mary University of London.
Elena started her career as a tissue bank assistant at Barts Cancer Institute department for HaematoOncology before moving on to become a participant support officer for 100K Genomes project at Genomics England for Barts trust across several pathways: gynaecological, breast, colorectal, urological, and thoracic. On cessation of 100K Genomes project Elena worked for the UCL Cancer institute Immune Regulation and Tumour Immunotherapy Group as a laboratory technician processing blood and tissue samples for TRACERx and PEACE clinical trials.
In 2021 Elena joined the KHP Cancer Biobank as a biobank technician. Elena is a member of biobank’s tissue team assisting with tissue dissection and other biobank activities.
