Imad Ahmed MSc BSc 

Breast Advanced Practitioner

Imad began his career as a Biomedical Scientist after successfully completing a BSc (Hons) degree in Biochemistry from North London University. He furthered his education with a PgC in Biomedical Sciences from Westminster University and an MSc in Histopathology from Imperial College London.

 

Before joining the KHP Cancer Biobank, Imad gained extensive experience working in renowned specialist hospitals, including the Institution of Lung Pathology at Royal Brompton Hospital and the Royal Marsden Hospital. At these institutions, he served as a research Biomedical Scientist, managing and organizing both internal and external projects in collaboration with ICR and CRUK.

 

Imad also served as a Senior Biomedical Scientist (BMS) at the St. John’s Institute of Dermatology, where he delivered a high-quality diagnostic dermatological immunopathology service. In this role, he provided specialized clinical technical support, reporting, and advisory services. He also undertook duties such as service development, auditing, training, and management.

 

Currently, as an Advanced Practitioner at the KHP Cancer Biobank, Imad is responsible for the organisation and coordination of the  KHP Breast Biobank. Additionally, he is actively involved in several breast cancer research projects.
