Colorectal Cancer Samples and Data
Sample Collection
The King’s Health Partners Colorectal Biobank sample collection includes tissue following resection and/or biopsy stored either as formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded or frozen samples. Blood samples are also collected and stored in the following derivatives: whole blood, PBMCs, serum, and plasma.
Data collection
Associated pathological data and patient demographic, clinical and follow-up information from patients with a variety of colorectal cancer types are also collected with the aim of providing to researchers to better understand Colorectal cancer and to develop new treatments. The following can be provided:

Demographic data: Age at diagnosis, gender, ethnicity, family history.

Clinical data: Stage, treatment types and duration.

Pathological data: Tumour size, type and grade.

Follow-up data: Time to local and distant recurrence, distant recurrence site, time to last seen in clinic, time to and cause of death.​​
